By accessing or using LonelinessSupport (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Service Description
LonelinessSupport provides matched companionship services for individuals experiencing loneliness and social isolation. Services include in-person companion visits and, in future phases, AI-powered digital companionship.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. You must be located in Australia.
4. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
5. Companion Worker Services
Companion workers are trained and background-checked individuals who provide social companionship. They are not medical professionals, therapists, or carers. Companion visits are not a substitute for professional medical or mental health care.
6. Payments and Billing
Physical companion visits are billed per visit at the rates displayed on our pricing page. Payment is processed securely through our payment provider. Hardship pricing is available upon application.
7. Cancellation
You may cancel your account at any time. There are no lock-in contracts or cancellation fees. Prepaid visit pack balances will be refunded for unused hours.
8. Safety
LonelinessSupport is not a crisis service. If you are in immediate danger, call 000. For emotional support, contact Lifeline on 13 11 14.
9. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. All data is stored in Australia.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Australia and the State of New South Wales. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
